"The reason for daily meditation comes into focus when we realize that we are trying to develop the ability to retain silence of self. All the intellectual knowledge in the world cannot help us to penetrate what Ra calls mental work. Indeed, the seeker is attempting to stop the whirring wheels of his mind."

"The beauty of Ra’s teaching is that as we learn to accept ourselves completely, the whole 360 degrees of self, we become able to be compassionate in a holistic way. We understand the chicanery of others because we have seen it in ourselves – seen it, come to respect and love it, and finally redeem it. We become able to accept all of the people of our world, at the soul level, and to love them, sincerely and wholly."

"In a way, we came into the world to be witnesses and observers. The Creator wished to know more about Itself when it decided to make this creation and sent all of us Creator-sparks into the chaos to explore. We are pattern-makers, orderers. We make sense of the world, each in our own way. And so the Creator learns of Its nature."

"What station are you on today? What signal are you putting out there to share with the world? Let it be your personal 'highest and best.' You make a big difference when you tune your channel to love. I open my arms and embrace your spirit. May your light and love radiate today like a lighthouse on a hill!!"

"Harvest in no way resembles the classic after-death scenario of our culture, with its pearly gates and Judgment Day, unless one can imagine the pearly gates set at the division between third density and fourth density along what the Ra group calls the 'steps of light,' and unless one can accept that one's own self is the only judge. The spirit, after going through physical death, moves in the indigo-ray body to a position in the so-called 'inner planes' where it is determined by the soul itself whether or not it is ready for Harvest."

"Perhaps you have been fortunate enough to experience bonding with someone sexually. This is an artifact of green-ray energy exchange. When this happens to two people for the first time, the experience imprints itself and bonds the mated pair. Some call it 'falling in love'. However it's more like 'falling into energy exchange.' In actuality, both of the mates are falling for the Creator and the full experience of all of the Creator's energy as reflected through the mate's energy in free exchange."

"Have you ever had the experience of feeling a sudden sense of joy? You're walking along and you notice the beauty of the rose bush against the green of the young tree leaves and the blue of the sky. Or you're working away at the chores and suddenly your whole being feels wholesome and happy. What's happened? The energy of the Creator is flowing freely through your energy body. That is what has happened."

"Living as a spiritual being in an earthly world is a challenge if we focus on the literal and the physically obvious. Life is not in the heaviness of physical things. It is in the invisible, sacred and life-giving breath that animates them. When you can take your power and choose to identify yourself as an instrument through which the Creator can play Its tune, then you have become more than your circumstances. You have become a voice in the wilderness which is lifted in praise and thanksgiving. You have become a light unto the nations."

"Let us accept this moment as worthy, holding faith rather than fear as our motivating viewpoint. Let us choose to radiate our love and faith as we talk to people and as we choose how to respond to the events of the day."

"A new day dawns, and we are awash in the energies of great and profound change. Let us who are part of the movement to lighten the consciousness of planet Earth use that paradigm of cooperation in our daily lives and in our treatment of each other."

"My dear fellow spiritual sojourners, I do not know where your talents lie. Are you one whose arena is the outer work of political activism? Are you a reformer and a crusader for justice and equality? Or are you a spiritual activist whose prayers and visualizations hasten the advent of cosmic consciousness? Whichever type of seeker you are, I salute you and encourage you with every fibre of my being. Either we are the Creator's voice here in this world or no one speaks for the Creator. No matter what obstacles seem to interfere, I urge your faithfulness to the duty and honor of being alive this day, in this particular place and dealing with this particular set of variables. In your perseverance, you are most worthy."

"Once we have awakened to our spiritual nature, moments of inspiration tend to be fairly frequent. In those moments of peace and power, we can consider that the spiritual path is an easy path. Yet in my experience, the commitment of the self to a life lived consciously produces more catalyst rather than less, so that we have grist to grind as we practice living what we are learning."

"Meryl Streep once was asked what she thought the Creator would say when she met Him at the gates of Heaven. I loved her response. Her God said, 'Everybody in!' This is the inclusive and loving Creator that I know. We are all equally acceptable to our Creator, who loves us all the same."

"We are one with the perfection of all that there is. The pattern is too large for us to comprehend. It is, however perfect. As a mystic I have repeatedly been taken into a state of consciousness where that perfection is quite clearly seen. I trust that personal, intimate experience."

"Focus today on knowing that you are acceptable to the Creator, just as you are. You are loved beyond all measure. You can rest back into that love. You can rest from self-judgment and free your mind and heart to the work of gathering your whole self together as an offering to the divine. 'Here I am,' you may pray. 'My heart is open, trembling, hoping so much to serve You. What have you got for me today?' The Creator is just waiting for that focus, that heart's presence, that question and that attitude of readiness. Ask that question and you will be busy today - and have a wonderful day in unexpected ways. It is well said, 'Ask and you shall be answered.'"

"Indigo ray is the center of your awareness of the Creator as the self. It is the center of sacramental sex, Creator to Creator. The indigo ray holds the energy of the Creator in microcosm. When your indigo chakra is open and functioning, you are the supernal Logos contained within a living being. You are an Avatar."

"How difficult it is, in one's ordinary, everyday frame of mind, to see the self as the Creator! And yet we are all sparks of that Creator, made in the Creator's image. That image is the Logos or unconditional love. That is our nature. Finding that nature is the work of this lifetime. Allowing that nature to be transmitted through our being, our thoughts and our actions is our main mission here on Earth. As we love unconditionally we fulfill the main purpose of our being here."

"Of all the work and play of a lifetime, my favorite play so far is the sacred play of the indigo ray. How I love to spend time here! My Christ lives in these regions, dwelling in silence and perfection. All the saints and angels await me here. My own true heart awaits my discovery here. Here I can enter into the gateway to what my channeling sources call 'intelligent infinity'. From this point the universe opens like a flower and we may tread it with unfettered foot. Here the resource of steadily held silence of mind and emotion has its rightful place. Take a walk in nature and listen to the natural creation's somewhat noisy silence. Enter into its muscularity and sense the unified, loving, living nature of the Creator. We are all connected in this silence; we are all one. When you fully realize this unity, this oneness and the infinite worth of both it and yourself, you have begun to activate your indigo ray."

"What a powerhouse the energy body is! This living, rainbow-colored pipeline of energy runs along our physical spines and contains seven main rays or colors, also known as chakras or energy centers. The energy may be thought of as electrical. When the infinite supply of the Creator's energy is flowing easily through our pipeline, we feel good. That energy contains love and light, and as it flows through our chakras it takes on our colorations, exiting at the top of the head's violet-ray chakra in a radiating, glowing vibration that is like a candle flame. The halos of the saints catch this palpable glow of blessed and released light, which in turn blesses all whom its energy touches. By keeping that energy pipeline clear, we become a living lighthouse. We glow with joy and a steady wellness which has everything to do with our emotions and spirit and almost nothing to do with our physical health. ... The goal is not to erase all catalyst and have effortless lives. The goal is to clear the energy pipeline so that the spontaneous health of the spirit may flood our senses, yielding a natural joy and peace that one can obtain no other way. No outer toy or possession can accomplish the stable sense of 'all is well'."

"It takes an act of will to pay attention to what is going on with our mood and reactions today. However, if we can pay attention to our thoughts and feelings and give them honor and respect today, remembering what moved us out of the flow, then as the day winds down, we can find some quiet moments and restore this energy flow to its balance. And what a difference it makes to our well-being and sense of joy when we do!"

"When we take responsibility for our thoughts, we have, say the Confederation teachings, become a part of the creative principle which is the active portion of the Creator. As we continue to think loving thoughts, we are like a lighthouse, broadcasting light and love to the world around us. While the "lighthouse effect" does not show outwardly, the Confederation says, we join with all others who are also vibrating in unconditional love, and together we are creating a shift in the mass consciousness of all humankind on planet Earth. We link up when we love the world we see because in truth we are all one. At the deeper levels of consciousness, we share energy all the time."

"What love itself will require from all of us, as we move through this day, is the willingness to love one another."

"First density is the planet with its elements and forces like air, water, fire and earth. Second density is plants and animals. Third density is human beings like us. Fourth density, the next density up from our environment, is humans who are able to study the lessons of love and understanding. Fifth density is humans who are able to study wisdom. Sixth density is humans who are able to study the balance of love and wisdom and come into perfect balance and unity."

"We were designed to be instruments by the Creator. We are wind instruments. We are sensitive instruments. Our breath supplies us with the wind to speak and to sing. What shall we speak? What shall we sing? In exploring this question, we are exploring who we are in a way which logic and rational thought cannot comprehend entirely. For as we speak and sing, we are - inadvertently, for the most part — musicians. When the human breath is involved, the potential for the sacred expression of our essence is always there."

"People write in to me often, asking how they can serve. And I tell them that they are already serving as they breathe in and breathe out. Their first service is to be themselves: to be present and aware of the moment; as Ram Dass said it, 'be here now.' In that sacred Presence is the heart of our service here on Earth."

"The breath is enormously, centrally sacred. It is utterly essential to our life. We do not think on the miracle of life much, as we are too busy dealing with that miracle in the hurly-burly of everyday. The image from the Old Testament of the Holy Bible of the great Tetragrammaton breathing life into Adam in the Garden of Eden catches this sacred and pivotal connection, in breath itself, of Creator to human beautifully."

"What can one person do, after all? One person can heal himself. And in doing so, he can heal the world that he sees. And if more and more of us take responsibility for this world, internalize its dysfunction, find it within ourselves and treat it, who knows how consciousness may change on planet Earth?"

"I have a strong and unshakable belief that what occurs to me is perfect. I cannot see the larger pattern. In any rational sense, conditions stink for me right now. Yet there is a larger and more whole picture that shows that 'God is working his purpose out,' in pristine and immaculate order. I know this has lessons to teach me. I am open to those lessons, inviting of them, looking forward to the learning that this suffering has brought to me."

My particular favourite is from page 109 in "Living The Law of One, The choice"

"The faculty of true consciousness sleeps, like folklore's Snow White, in our hearts until we awaken it with the kiss of our seeking to find it." - Carla.

    Beautifully inspiring!

"We are all one in our relationship to the one Creator. We are all children of the Creator and heirs to Its sacred nature. We are one in our makeup."

"Let us move together below the surface of the waters in our ocean of life. Let us move now into the deep waters where we share consciousness with every being in the universe. Paramahansa Yogananda once wrote a little chant which I often sing. Its refrain is 'I am the bubble. Make me the sea.' Let us allow the bubble of surface self to pop. Let us sink deeply, now, into the waters of life. Our souls swim easily and joyously in those deep waters. They are natives of the deep. There they may rest, far from manifestation, encompassed in the mystery. Yet our souls do not simply rest there. They also take nourishment in the dark yet sacred caves of pure being. There, they can at last shrug off all of the identifying tags with which we have limited our understanding of who we are."

"Who am I? There are so many good answers to that question for each of us! Psychologists devise tests to map out our personality preferences. Religionists explain our being-ness by assuring us that we are aimed either at heaven or hell. Those who love us describe us in a way which may be unrecognizable to those who are not so fond of us. Always, we remain a mystery to ourselves, a package we are continuously unwrapping to find out what's inside. We discover ourselves as we go."

"I love the feeling of being more and more grounded in these archetypal patterns, so that in the end I am no longer studying the archetypes. I AM the archetypes."

"As I go deep, I touch the starry heavens. As I move inward, I encompass all of Creation. Where does wisdom start? It begins in the mystery of the human heart."

"There is tremendous strength in realizing how beloved we are to the infinite Creator. The instant we turn toward our Creator and place our intent upon journeying once more towards the eternal home in Godhead whence we came, the Creator is inviting the neighborhood and having a celebratory barbecue, in the style of the parable of the Prodigal Son. And how high our hearts beat when we see the welcome awaiting us! We do belong. We do have a home. All is truly well."

"What makes us equal, as souls? It certainly is not that which we see on the surface of our personalities and our lives. In those regards, we are wildly different, one from the other. However, the Confederation suggests that we are all sparks of the One, holograms of the one Creator. At the soul level we are exactly equal, for we are all the same thing: individuated focuses of consciousness and interactive interfaces with the unseen worlds where our deeper consciousness resides. If you "click" on the desktop of any soul and pursue that thread of connection, the Creator Itself and Its consciousness will be found to be all souls' source and ending."

"It is sometimes hard to realize that our suffering is a good thing. It feels like the opposite when suffering comes to us. Yet all suffering gives us the chance to do our spiritual work and to grow. We can cut through any confusion we might have by applying our faith that all is well. And this is always an appropriate response to seeming adversity."

"In a universe that is one great being of which we are all a part, one unified and interactive body of which we are all cells, it is logical that we inherently are one with Christ-consciousness. We are holograms of the infinite Creator. Every cell of our beings is full of the Creator. We are made of Love. That Christ-consciousness of unconditional love is one with the Logos which made all that there is."

"As a spiritual being, I certainly feel like a child. If I am the Creator, I feel like a very young, foolish and error-prone Creator."

This was decades ago. I knocked on Carla's door and after I stepped in she asked, "If the front legs of an elephant are walking at 25 miles per hour, what are the rear legs doing?" I said, "I don't know, what?" With a straight face and serious tone she said, "Hauling ass."

Hey Jim, thanks for quoting this. It was one of my favorite things she said. There's not just one instance of Carla saying this, actually. It was a refrain of hers, and became a refrain of ours.

Her balance of strength/confidence/self-knowledge with the humility of knowing that, as a human, she was inevitably bound to folly and frailty, inspired me as one of the best approaches to the serious and the light heart. That poise allows one to take themselves seriously enough to do hard work in consciousness with perseverance and backbone, but not so seriously that one becomes arrogant and self-involved, deaf to the calls of service around one.

As a bozo she was humble and approachable by all, never elevating herself above of an other in ultimate terms; but as a being of faith and intensive inner discipline, she was an anchor of light.

This particular forum, btw, "Olio"... I chose that word because it was Carla's term for "Miscellaneous".

A beautiful thread this is and beautiful heart openings elsewhere. Heart

    With love/light, GLB

Regarding past life information, but I think relevant in any situation:

"We have all we need to meet the present moment. The rest is just details."

Although faith makes no earthly sense, there is spiritual logic to it. Affirming that all is well, especially when things look the opposite to us, aligns our beings with the most smooth flow of cooperation with the destiny that is at work for us in the present moment. – Carla Rueckert

I remember the day I saw she had died.

I cried for so long.  The person who brought me something to save myself was now gone and out of physical reach...

I hope one day...I'll get to see her grave, and pray to her thanksgiving.

It's the first item on my bucket list.

    "Thank Carla Reuckert in person."

...how soon I found out this became impossible...Sigh...

    Sigh.

    Not even a grave huh.

I'll find a way...  Or I won't.  I just wish I could have let her know how important she was to me...

    From Tilting at Windmills:

Quote:GARY When you look back and reflect upon your life, what do you see? What do you feel?
Carla Absolute perfection. I’m so grateful for all of it. I feel so blessed. This has been a wild walk. [laughter] And not predictable, but oh, so rewarding. I couldn’t possibly have had a better walk through life or known better people or had more wonderful experiences, in all kinds of environments.

When she said this, she had been bed prone for 3 years. She had an increasingly painful open wound on her back that entire time. Her eyesight and hearing were deteriorating, depriving her of one of her greatest loves (reading). She had pain from all various sorts of ailments.

She spent most of her life in some sort of physical distress, often quite intense. We're so ingrained into our bodies in this density that it is hard for me to imagine transcending such difficulties myself. I imagine that in her shoes, I would become miserly and bitter about a life that delivered me to such conditions.

But that wasn't even within the realm of Carla's consciousness. She had realized spirit with such clarity and focus that despite what most people would consider a troubled life, she saw absolute perfection. This is one of Carla's great gifts and blessings for me. To witness that is transformational for me. Any time I feel down about my life, I hear Carla's laughter and see her smile when she gave that response, and I know that circumstances (especially physical circumstances) need never be a hindrance to joy.

I understand that there is a feeling of validation when we are able to communicate such things to a person within incarnation. It seems impossible to not miss someone when their physical body is gone and we are veiled from direct communication with them.

But even so, from her vantage point, she knows just by you declaring it here. And you can tell her more directly, and she will know and rejoice.

Perhaps.  I guess it's more to me personally a respect or honor sort of feeling.  I wish there were a memorial of her for me to offer my prayers at.

A grave to trek to, to admit to myself the end of her journey.

Or maybe its just weird to me how I personally took her death.  Maybe its selfish to say this, but I feel like I lost something, the joy of experiencing her presence, or something.  I just want some place to mourn her.

Ah but that's my selfish wants.  I just hope she's enjoying herself and all the things to distill from her highly unique life.

And I hope Jim has been doing okay too.
