Hey friends!! Those of us who frequent the Saturday chatroom meditations really find that we enjoy the "buzz" that we get each week from group work. So, we are playing with the idea of adding a second meditation to the week.

Currently, our meditations are on Saturdays, and the time is 10AM EST, 3PM London, 11PM Beijing, 2am (following day) Sydney. Our members do span the globe so we are trying to work with another time frame: 1AM EST, 6AM London, 2PM Beijing, and 5pm Sydney. This would put it at the "previous day" for Mountain and Western time zones in NA. Tentatively we discussed a Wednesday meeting, being halfway through the week, but that is flexible too (Tuesday would work just as well).

I'm putting it out for discussion because we'd like to welcome more members who may not have a convenient free moment to attend the Saturday meditations.
Ideally, our time is pretty set, because we have a couple regular members who have already confirmed their availability. The day is more flexible. But, I'm happy to hear any feedback from anyone who is interested in attending.

Thanks for reading! Hope to see some fresh faces in either our secondary group or the primary!

So, as an update, lacking any new feedback, I believe we will start this meditation next week on Wednesday the 25th (Tuesday the 24th for those who are on the previous evening such as myself!). We will confirm this time/date in the Saturday chatroom with those who will be able to attend. I will create a theme and post it soon. Looking forward to it!!

    Hello,

I missed this thread but Saturday is my day for sleeping in so I usually miss out on the chatroom meditation. Some time in the evening (EST) during the week would probably work for me, though it can be hard for me to find some peace and quiet at home Smile

I hope it works out for you to attend sometimes! Of course it's never an obligation to attend every single one, and it doesn't affect the group or anything for people to come and go as they can. We're always just happy to have everyone we can - and we all have pets, neighbors, and loved ones who interrupt from time to time. Smile

    Hi Jade!

Just saw this and I will definitely be there! Just to clarify, will that be 8pm on Tuesday (24th) Hawaii Standard Time?

So grateful this opportunity is being made!

I probably should do a search but how does a chat room meditation work?
I've done group meditation but we are just all in the room silent then talk after.

How does it work chatroom wise just log on and meditate at the same time?
I ask all the dumb questions. Smile

Yes what is the process of chat room meditation?

And as for a time, evenings would be fantastic, I never wake up early enough to get to the Saturday one ZZzz

Well, our usual protocol is as follows: We log in on the hour together in the chatroom, and greet and socialize for about 10 minutes. Then, we meditate for ~7 minutes wherever we are most comfortable (many often go a bit longer - I think I might like to try to push it to maybe 15 minutes? The first one I will probably set at 10 minutes.) and then we reconvene at our keyboards and share if we have anything to share. Some times people disperse quickly, sometimes people socialize a bit more afterwards. Even at 15 minutes of meditation time, your full participation can be under 30 minutes.

I think most of us enjoy it greatly when we can make it. I'm lucky that it's a convenient time for me to make. (8am Saturday morning, and my husband would never sleep that late and I never have to work before 10am) I look forward to seeing some new faces! Even if you don't post on the forums, you can still join in on the meditation - there are several regulars who don't post who attend on Saturdays. Smile Please feel free to join us!
