I'm leaving the house now; I should be in Anchorage around 4:30 or 5.

I had such a wonderful time at homecoming this year! It's been far, far too long. It honored and humbled me to learn from each of you who participated. At the outset of the weekend, I said that one of the things I came for was to work on opening the heart. Boy, did that happen. Especially Jim's heart-opening meditation technique, which I intend to find a way to incorporate into my own daily practice.

I sometimes feel it's self-indulgent and effacing to the particularity of the experience to relate synchronicities, but I can't help myself. The plane ride home was one filled with reflection, appreciation, praise (thanks for reminding me of this mode of being, Jim), and reading Steve Tyman's book. When I finally met my ride outside airport security upon arrival, he was wearing a shirt that said "CATALYST" in big letters. And when I walked through the glass door, I saw my reflection. The shirt I was wearing had a heart on it (it's an "I heart sriracha" shirt) but the way I was wearing my bag's strap crossed over my chest blocked out everything but the heart. And to see those two things as I said farewell to a beautiful and transformative weekend, well, I'm grateful for the gifts.

Thank you for the ones you shared with me, everybody.

My heartfelt gratitude for all who participated in homecoming, whether their presence was physical or spiritual. Thanks to all of you who provided for event whether it was your time, treasure, or talent. Thank you to all of those fortunate to attend. I received greatly from your presence. By sharing our harmonious energy and complimentary intent we all become more. That's why I keep coming back. Jim I.

Every Homecoming, I arrive thinking "This year's Homecoming can't possibly be as good as last year's".  Every year I am mistaken.  I know of no other experience where so much love and so much kindness are so freely and consistently shared.

I suspect that we all thought, to ourselves, that it would be difficult without Carla, but we just keep rolling right along.  I guess she was there in spirit form, hovering around, whispering in our ears. Cool

Has anyone thought of hiring a medium to talk to Carla?

    I don't know who's good at that.

There's no way Carla would let the absence of a physical body keep her from attending at least one more Homecoming. I'm sure she was present in some way. I thought it was neat that the candle that Jim had bought for her memorial table, where he had set up pictures and flowers as a chance for us to honor our dear friend, lasted just up to the very end of the Homecoming. Sunday morning it had burned quite low and we were worried that it may not make it all day, but it lasted right up to when we finished.

I can't describe the gratitude in my heart for the people who attended this year and any previous year, and all those who were attending in spirit. The thing that makes Homecoming such a magical experience is the people. I always experience an incredibly distinct shift in energies once we're all in the circle and focused on sharing our hearts with each other. I literally see a sort of shimmering in the air and my vision goes slightly out of focus - this never happens at any other occasion besides Homecoming, and I have experienced it at every Homecoming. It is one of the most direct experiences with alternative perception I ever have. But beyond this literal sensory perception, the love itself is palpable, and it's easy to just soar through the weekend with the wings of spirit spread wide.

It always reminds me of Ra's words:
Quote:In general, we may say that by far the most vivid and even extravagant opportunities for the piercing of the veil are a result of the interaction of polarized entities.
