Since I first discovered the term "wanderer" in the book Secrets of the UFO back in the late 70s I have often considered that this is what I am, although at times I have wandered away from that identity only to return at a later stage.

Anyway, I have recently published a hubpage article (hub) about how I feel about my "home world" as opposed to this one and some of my thoughts about what a wanderer is and what we are doing here.

    You can read it at:

Your song, harvest home is very beautiful.

I find it difficult to respond to your hud page. I recognize a lot. The other world for me is not that different. There is a constant transcendental presence of all the others with some closer to us than others. The borders between self and others are not as sharply defined as here. And then there are some differences. I don't have very powerful emotions. I felt isolated in the past. But not today. I also don't suffer for seeing others suffer. Everything has a purpose and we're all constantly cradled in the arms of the one. If suffering is a part of that and we cannot change this then we must accept it. The psychic powers or at least life bit seems real, I've also had interesting experiences.

Just like you clearly by the way, druid, bard dragonfly and shaman Wink How concrete are your memories of your otherworldy self? You speak in rather concrete terms. I should not be surprised considering your shamanic connections. How did you discover these things?

Oh and Welcome! Stay and share your song bard!

    Hello, Ali!
Thank you for enjoying my song and my hub!

As to how I discovered these things the answer is that they are how I feel inside and how I act at times and then reflect upon my actions eg I have a tendency to expect people to know what I mean without being given an explanation. In a car I might say "over there" or "that way" without indicating left or right. Drivers find my directions hopeless. My self analysis suggests that I expect them to know via telepathy.

Or I may not say anything because I am expecting people to know what I am thinking. The reverse of this is that I go into long-winded explanations having learned that people here do not understand and so I make an effort to explain.

I also have experience of others being able to read what I am projecting but usually only with children. I was working in a school earlier this year and the kids had to guess what number of classroom object I was thinking of. Often some of the children would get it right straight away.

My openess to others has also caused problems because I have believed what I have been told only later to find I have been lied to and I have been called a victim of how naive I can be. I look on this as being my way of life before this incarnation in a world where people do not lie and mislead others.

    Dear Bard,
I recognize the telepathic assumptions. Smile Sometimes it works.. Mostly it doesn't... And I share your experience of other people picking up our projections. I used to experiment on that in my wilder days. Out on the town if I entered a bar I would project a positive feeling and openness and after a few hours of doing this people would behave pretty much like I projected.

Another friend did know about it, and was stunned when the woman described everything perfectly. Unfortunately, as it's a very empty place comapred to here, when she opened her eyes she burst into wracking sobs because she felt suddenly cut-off from everyone and totally alone. Her main concern was that her husband (who was with us) wasn't there. It seems she got it all mixed up with 'heaven', etc. She was quickly ok, but I'm very careful of that sort of thing now.
We should not play games indeed.. Though the fact that she cried did not make it a bad experience. And she caught a glimpse that not many humans do. I don't feel sorry for her I'm more inclined to congratulate her.

I wish I could share my memories like this. Projecting clear images is beyond me. Sometimes people pick up thoughts from my mind. But if I decide to just put across an image then that's not likely to work.

I'm not one to treat others with velvet gloves in this regard though. In my opinion people are not spiritually aimless. Even those that don't consciously participate in spirituality have made clear choices. My first big encounter was unplanned on my part. I lacked the ability to decide if I wanted it or not. I even lacked the ability to see it coming. No one ever asked my opinion in the matter. It just happened. I was an atheist with an academic interest in the occult before, I required weeks to rebuild my self image after. I was literally dumbstruck and spoke to no one in that period, fortunately I had a rock to hide under. Regarding if someone should have asked my permission first I don't think there would be any point. I would not be able to anticipate the consequences of saying yes or saying no. The person involved told me he just responded to signals I put out. I don't know what they were. And knowing what I know now I would not readily give up this experience even if it was inconvenient at the time.

Looks like you found the right site. Welcome aboard!

I'm reading your work now, and it's very touching from the first paragraph on.
It gives me a fondness for being here.
I thank you for this, and definitely look forward to reading further.
Believe it or not, your writing is getting me through a rough spot emotionally.
I especially agree with the part about being naive, powerful emotions, and extremely sensitive. At times I can be emotionally hypersensitive.

Especially with something overly adorable. Things can be too adorable for me in the right frame of reference.

BTW, where is the song Harvest Home?

The man kinda left us about 3 years ago after posting these two short messages. Which is a shame because he seemed very interesting Smile

    He's still active on facebook.

yes, it seems a shame that most of the people who post FIRST to the Wanderer Stories rarely come back. It's like they've said what they needed to say ('I'm a Wanderer, I'm a Wanderer'), and that is enough.

there are some very heartfelt biographies in that section.

I would have loved to have had the Bard stick around. He joined before I did.
