Would that be a good retort to the false "you create your own reality" paradigm without going over to the "there is no creating of reality" other end.

Yes but the 'one' does not create. The 'one' does the splitting into co-creators that enjoy the free will to create.
The One Infinite Creator does not create in the sense of the guy with the white beard pushing the buttons.
