LITTLE THEY KNOW

Little hands and feet are borne,
and the reality of shadows they adorn.

Joys and cries fill their days,
for their instincts make them blaze.

Filled with dreams and desires,
they are one with their fires.

Little they know of what they are,
for the ‘I’ is still afar.

They look into the mirror,
and they think they are nearer.

Ups-and-downs is their path,
till they whelm in their wrath.

As they collapse to the floor,
nothing makes sense to them anymore.

They want so much but so little is given,
and there is no-one to be forgiven.

Little they know of what they are,
for the ‘I’ is still afar.

They look into the mirror,
and they know they need to see clearer.

Their search for wisdom and truth begins,
which is like looking at Gemini the twins.

In glimpses of knowledge, they deeply rejoice,
as they desperately try to make their own choice.

Love and goodness become their clear winner,
for they make sure not be the sinner.

Little they know of what they are,
for the ‘I’ is still afar.

They look into the mirror,
and they see clearer.

Like Egyptian Maat with her pair of scales,
they quickly realise that all is in the details.

Every thought and emotion don’t escape their attention,
and so it continues their journey of ascension.

With a full control of their instinctive mind,
they realise that before they were simply blind.

They look into the mirror,
and they are freer.

The new path begins for the enlightened soul,
that starts to see everything as one and whole.

Infinity and immortality is what they become,
at the end of their long journey of joys and glum.

Everything merges into perfect one,
emanating brilliant rays of the divine sun.
