Simple idea, if you notice a synchronicity in something, mention it in the form of a what if question.

For me, this idea propped up when I saw that right after Trump's election, an Earthquake occurred in New Zealand.

What if the earthquake in New Zealand that occurred after Trump's election was a result of the combined human collective of thought energy directed at New Zealand by fearful Americans. It was no secret that many people were talking about leaving the country if Trump was elected, and many of them spoke of places such as Canada and New Zealand.

Now, New Zealand is located on a rather sensitive energy vortice of the world.

Okay, think of it like this.

Energy has density to it.  When a bunch of people focus their thoughts on a specific area it fills it with energy, thickness, pressure.

On a particularly sensitive area of the energy net of the world where a vortice is, this energy might have a magnified effect that could trigger a human made 'disaster', no technology, no special magic, just human thought directly effecting the human world by accidentally putting too much pressure on that area of land, sparking an earthquake.

People reported lights over New Zealand right before and during the earthquake.  Maybe its HAARP, or magic, or maybe its just what happens metaphysically when a bunch of energy is shifted suddenly into a sensitive area.
