Which transcription program does L/L Research use when going from audio into written text?

I am beginning to transcribe 20 minutes or more audio files that I create. And even getting to 10 minute mark takes well over an hour.
Well I had  to edit the mp3 first to remove the major dead times with no speaking.

I'm looking to get the right software.

    Maybe Austin may know.

I just ordered this, and it's being installed now.
I need something to transcribe while I am talking.
When I'm in trance, I tend to speak slow or normal.
With large gaps of quiet time in between.

If you have a mac, I recommend an app called "Transcriptions":

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/transcri...4149?mt=12

    It's not perfect, but it's also $3.

The trick is that you need to be able to control the playback while typing.

For years and years this was done with a device that had a foot pedal that would control the cassette while the hands typed what was being heard through headphones.

Now that everything is digital and mp3's are the norm, we use Express Scribe software: http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/

You can play/pause/slow down/speed up/go back "x" seconds and so on with the keyboard. Unless you're a superman typists, the audio inevitably gets ahead of the typing. So with express scribe you can create a hotkey that sets the number of seconds the audio will rewind to let you catch up in your typing.

But if you want a program that transcribes as you're speaking, I've heard good things about Dragon software. Never used though.
