Here are links to two very interesting articles from Jay Weidner, tying togethether Egyptian cosmology, Fulcanelli's cross at Hendaye (France), and the coming shift of the ages in 2012. They are far too wide-ranging to summarize here, but among other things, they added significantly to my (admittedly weak) understanding of the ancient Egyptian perspective on the cycles of the ages. Good stuff (although the astronomy is at times difficult to follow).
