Interestingly, Patrick, we never had a problem with mosquitoes when we lived on that piece of land. Might have been too dry.

    Sounds like paradise then !

Mosquitoes are really bringing me tons of catalysts. Well not right now, because it's way too cold here. Smile

The property was just over 1 mile away from even any paved road, on a dirt road. It is an undeveloped part of the country, very little city life within about a 100 - 150 mile perimeter from the property. On a clear night, you can, almost literally, see forever into the stars. It is an excellent place to meditate.

I understand what you mean, Ruth! Smile In the movie, Forrest Gump, some of the visuals of the American landscape took my breath away! The beauty of the raw American land is simply majestic.

And the fact that you enjoy much open space there makes it very easy to peer into the stars. Guess you are continuing the famed star traditions of your sacred ancestors, such as the Hopis, etc.

I vaguely remember like it being mentioned in the credits at the end, Meerie. Why, anything special about it?

Oh yes, Castaway is a great movie with Wanderer parallels - although the character didn't "volunteer" to go be all alone in a strange place. Interesting the character in Castaway mentions he has to "keep breathing". The main character in Sleepless in Seattle (also played by Tom Hanks - also talks about how he has to "keep breathing in and out all day long." I can't find a clip of that scene right now.

It all speaks about the cycles of life, the cycles in a larger sense of the whole universe, the Earth, the Seasons, and our own personal development, the windmills of our minds.

Going to oil painting class today. It's a new cycle for me.

A beautiful Indian song that always reminds me of the importance of trying to anchor oneself constantly into the moment of time available at hand. In the song, a terminally ill patient celebrates his moments of living in a colorful milieu.

It has English subtitles for those who would like to watch and make meaning of the lyrics as well.

Thank you for that, Confused. That is my all time favorite song! I sing it to myself frequently. I saved something from my garden this summer that I want to make a photo of. But I've had a difficult time getting it just the way I want. Your video has inspired me to try again.
