I left my "satirical but deep" review of this song recently.

It's comedy, but jokes can only be funny if they are at least a little true.
The lyrics, to me, talk about how the human experience is forced to feel and be motivated by very strong emotions... and of those, Love is the scariest of all.

    A literal interpretation:
Quote:The space monk is a virgin even at his ripe old age.

Not only this, but he witnessed traumatic events like the boy's father in the act of love-making, and potentially the 'very messy' event where he had to 'clean the floors' when the boy was born.
And this was a battle; his friend (the boy's father) and he 'fought' with the 'beast' (verbal accusations and strong emotions flying) 49 times.

The space hobo is delusional from a traumatic reaction to a romantic turmoil between a love triangle with the boy's father. Perhaps the space hobo is just aware that the boy won't understand.
The boy literally says "oh, rad!" just because a scary monster has a woman's face. He's not old enough to understand. This is literally the space version of "the birds and the bees".

    For secondary English-language speakers:

The song uses slang in a potentially clever way. A bush can refer to the hair "down there".
"The Birds and the Bees" is a common allegory parents use to explain sexual life to their children.

To me, this song's lyrics are trying to talk about something people don't really notice often.

    Life is absurd!

    My newest discovery.

When you walked alone to leave your life at home
    You really wanted to die
And if you hoped to hold the key to eternity
    You really wanted to die
Can't count your blessings saying goodbye
Did you really watch your desires resign?
In the case of a wanderin' eye
When you fell to Earth and lost the love to love
    You really wanted to try
Can't count your blessings saying goodbye

Smoke good, eat good, live good

    ____---
I used to want to see the penitentiary
    Way after elementary
Thought it was cool to look the judge
In the face when he sentenced me
    Since my uncles was institutionalized
My intuition has said I was suited for family ties
My mama is stressing, my daddy tired
I need me a weapon, these niggas ride
Every minute, hour and second, ministers tried
To save me, how I'm gonna listen
When I don't even hear God?
Heaven or Hell, base it all on my instincts
My hands dirty, you worried bout mud in your sink
You like to mistake a street nigga for real nigga
The same nigga that killed with ya, squealed with ya
I deal with ya like my son
Stare at the sun and you'll be lookin'
In my eyes homie stand for something
Or fall for anything, and you working
With two left feet at the skating rink
But anyway, this for my niggas
Uncles, 23 hours sending me pictures
I want you to know that I'm so determined
To blow, that you hear the music
I wrote, hope it get you off Death Row
You came home to a pocket full of stones
A Metro PC phone, then you went back in
So when I touch the pen, the Pen is in
My view, I'mma get it right, just so you
