Plenum, I am aware of your bond with the Tarot and Ra's interpretation of it.

But what you must also acknowledge is that very system of information is not for the evolved who reach a state of being in which such information is entirely understood; rather it is a system of guidance offering the opportunity to discover the information which is hidden within.

It was not coded for the sake of being relayed to those who already know it. It was designed in this way for those who are in the process of coming to understand the truths which reside there.

The library in a university is not there for the intellects that have already acquired an knowledge of the information stored there. It is there for those who are learning.

What Quo speaks of here is not suggesting that acquiring information beyond one's comprehension is wrong. It is simply pointing out that using methods to advance one's self beyond their evolved state of comprehension will result in oneself finding themselves in a classroom filled with students of a grade far beyond their own.

The shortcut or secret passage you used to get there does not also advance you into higher being just because you have managed to skip ahead.

The crutch is not the gadgets, it is the deployment of those gadgets.

Quo does not suggest that gadgets are a wasted effort, just that improper and untimely use of them will only enable brief passages to places where one may not be prepared to visit.

BUT, for those who are prepared and do know the processes such medium is very efficient and useful.

The untimely use of such 'gadgets' results in the same corrupted fundamentalism and extremism that we find from science to occultism and into religion around the world. Many discover information that they then corrupt with their own lack of understanding, and the crutch used to acquire that information, being weak, cannot offer strong support.

Plenum, if you can determine the message offered in the correlation between the vine in this card and the hanging man card, you will further understand what I speak to here.

Hello dear Shin'Ar. My apologies. I did not see this post of yours until now. So your bumping proved to be quite effective. I have a nasty habit of not reading everything as it unfolds in a thread but rather just jump around and pursue my own interests. It is not conducive to a debate or dialogue, of which I am not reknowned for being the most skillful anyway lol.

to address your points, I think I am in agreement with everything you have written. You have also expressed it with skillful precision.

although, I should make it clear, that even though I find Ra's outline of the tarot archetypes to be extremely useful (the 3 sets of 7 for example) I actually bypass the IMAGES most of the time. For whatever reason, I try to access the archetype directly, and live the energies that it has to offer. So a lot of the analysis of the symbols of the cats and crabs and boxes and whatnot just pass me by. It's not that they are unimportant; but rather they are placeholders for the beginning learner, of which I do not consider myself one.

what you write about gadgets and their use, and untimely use rings very true for me. For those who are Ancients (and I will defer to your term for now Confusedmiley) or old souls, those who have seen and lived much, the gadget can often reconnect one's current incarnation with the bountiful wisdom of one's soul stream; and we have probably seen this effect in our mutual friend GV.

I am at a loss to explain the meaning of the vine. I could, of course, cheat by using google, but that would be most dishonest and disingenuous on my part Confusedmiley

I did, however, dream on this card this very night, so we are in connection in some way. It was about the coin, and the falling away of money from the thoughts of the seeker. This was then generalised to the whole effect of money; which concerns the use of metrics or measurements. Numbers based thinking (which is most felt in finance and currency which dominates our culture) is anti-thetical to quality based thinking. Qualities are what give the uniqueness and flavor to all the expressions of the Creator. Number based thinking cheapens this by assigning a digit or series of digits to a person or piece of land or whatever, and thinking that this sums up the thing. Things can then be traded or substituted according to this number. But the qualities of the Creator are NOT interchangable. They are unique and beautiful.

this dream helped expose some of my own continuing attitudes toward money and metrics.

so, I am quite willing to trade you my insight (albeit a highly personal one) for one that you might have. I am sure you will appreciate the irony in my 'offer'.
