Rinse and repeat. The Devil helps us just as much as the Angels do, if not more. the Devil points out areas of weakness/distortion to us and the Angels help us heal/fix/undistort them. The Devil knows he is helping you when he interacts with you, without doubt, and I think that is a very important thing to realize when having these extremely taxing experiences. It is all to our benefit.
To put it another way, we need darkness for the light to expand into.
