i have a big appreciateion of artisan food and drink though - when people have put their heart and soul into their creations it creates something genuinely special
i love the beers of a local micro brewery, all inspired by the local landscape, the variety of flavours of quirky beers i find really interesting and i've been discovering local wines made out of strange things, birch wine most recently... so alcohol for savouring rather than alcohol for alcohol's sake
I agree, Lorna! I used to make Mead and Wine Tinctures. I created these concoctions following the Lunar cycles in a state blessing and sacredness. When I would be creating the Mead or Wine Tinctures Devas would show up--- and Fairies or course! They would give me directions on how to bring out the best qualities of the Mead or the Wine Tinctures. I had a problem with keeping the Mead corked (it would blow its cork! LOL) and the Devas suggested I use duct tape since I did not have any wax. It worked Superbly!
They also gave suggestions on how to brew Wine Tinctures that were mildly alcoholic and still retained thier vitamin and mineral compostions... in otherwards... making fermented foods! It was a great joy making these things, sharing and drinking them too!
Drink is meant to enhance life... to provide a platform for connection. Commercial spirits are Spiritless and thus create harm for the body in addition to all the addictive additives added in such as Nitrates and food colorants... so these are the same as fast food... you are that what you consume... it will show up in the body as dis-ease as it disagrees with your body.
