It's probably an earth-born chunk of space debris that fell down and impaled itself into the rock, making it all the way down because there's pretty much no atmosphere on Mars. Or as Ashim mentioned, it could be a part of the lander/rover that broke off from when it descended that pretty much did the same thing.

Otherwise it totally looks like a finger of a native Martian. BigSmile
