The mysterious nature of time

I can still vividly recall a dream I had that dealt with my fear of being anesthetized. I needed some surgery, and had it scheduled, but had never been "put under" in my life. In the dream I was driving my little 4-speed manual hatchback car down a steep hill on a very narrow lane along the edge of a very calm, smooth lake. I ended up driving right down into the water, and sank under the water. I had a very brief moment of panic, but then realized that I could still breathe and that everything was just fine. When I woke I realized that I was telling myself that all would be well with the surgery.

Indeed, a couple of days later, I had the surgery with no complications
