    I know just what you mean, norral. I have been guilty of this, too, and the fact that you posted helped bring it to my attention again. I understand what some are saying here about your "full" attention. But I think I take your point to mean to realize how discourteous it can be to divide your attention between a person in front of you and a person at the other end of a communication device. I know how much I dislike it when my step-daughter comes to visit all the way from Texas, then sits with her face glued to her phone screen still texting her friends back in Texas.

    Or when my hubby finally gets home from a long day at work and I'm still texting someone or checking Facebook or something.
