As you know we all have "male" and "female" energy (not sure that's the best way to describe it, but it's been described that way for eons, so I won't go into that right now.)

Your dream is saying that something about the way you are using your male energy (the "action - power" part of you) is a bit off kilter in some way.

I guess the eyepatch I put on during this dream on my left-eye represented a repression of female energy, perhaps?

Nah, guidance is telling me it was my right-eye... I put the eye-patch on my damaged eye so I could mainly see through the left. Interesting. What do you see in that?

I know that doctors used to cover one eye with a patch to force certain children to learn to use the other one. It was thought to be important for them to use that eye by a certain age to develop certain parts of their brain, and this ultimately would lead to the ability to have binocular vision with depth perception. So play around with that and what your intuition is telling you about the balance between your "male" (action/power) energy and your "female" (spirit/intuition) energy and see if you are being told to learn to see the world through a different perspective, so that eventually you can combine the two eyes and have more "depth" of perception.

I was in an area I do not recognize. I happen to walk past a large standing mirror and see something strange about my right eye. The center of the right eye is half invisible, hidden behind white. It is as if the eye is split vertically down the center. I move up closer to the mirror and when looking very close I only see strangeness within the iris, with what looks like dark liquid half filling the iris, this time splitting the eye horizontally.

Assuming your eyes are healthy (your probably can sense whether your dream is symbolic or giving you some health advice), then you could play around with ideas/intuitions about what's going on with your ability too perceive, to see. What kinds of split are taking place in the way you see things? You can have some fun by doing a search on metaphysical meaning of right and left eye and you will see that people have been assigning different meanings to these for millenia.
