Two thoughts:
Look back on yourself some time ago - weeks ago, months ago, years ago. Look back at the choice situations in which you made foolish decisions. Look back at your old mindset. What counsel would you give yourself? What attitude would you take toward yourself if you met your past self on the street today and it didn't know that it was you? If it was truly your own self, wouldn't you look upon it with complete love and total understanding? Wouldn't you passively guide while being totally open and accepting of the mistakes and attitude? Well, you meet other selves every day that are in the mindset you used to be. You have both been freed and freed yourself from your old mindset, and in this state, you're able to be a freeing force for others. The big self, the planetary self, uses you, a part of itself, to heal another part of itself. Just like you would bandage a wound on your left hand using your right hand, we are all one. All of us. Nothing is lacking, everything is here, expressing itself. When you are given the opportunity to be of service to others, remember that we are serving ourselves. The Earth is showing itself love through us. Shorthand, treat others as you would have yourself treated! haha
Think about how you came into existence. You're (thankfully) used to thinking in cosmic terms, but I'm talking about this one human life. Before you were born, your spirit was part of Earth's spirit. Your mind existed in yin form only as concepts in the minds of those who were living. Your mind was part of the group mind. When someone thought a thought about something that you are or will be at any point in this life, that was you in that thought. Your body existed as its raw materials in the Earth. So, your body, mind, and spirit certainly all existed before you were born. Before you were here, I AM. Somehow, miraculously, all that you are has all come together in harmony to form the mind/body/spirit complex. But this life's experience wasn't there. You were selflessly given the gift of life experience by the random biological creating machine that is our species. Everyone who needs/wants to become harmonized into a complex to gain a life experience will get the chance. It is only through love that life is created. Love is endless and it is always selflessly creating. We are a part of that love, even if we don't realize it.
