you cant turn off their ability to hear you, you can turn of your desire to find people with an ability to hear telepathically, or do you not belive there are people with telepathy disability just as there are with hearing/vision/etc? Just find people with a telepathy disability and you'll be able to be "normal" amongst them no foul no harm.
