It's hard to discuss energy feelings because I believe that everyone might feel the same phenomenon differently and I believe, based upon my experiences, that there are different energy phenomenon within each energy center.
I like the discussion, I just wanted to point that out: I've felt pain (rarely), I've felt pressure, I've felt electricity, I've felt exactly what Tanner describes as flow, I've felt pulse/throbbing, I've felt incoming energy (there are meditation/guru practices I've dabbled in the past where the guru sends energy from afar to your third eye), and I've been able to seeming send out energy, as well as other sensations around my third eye. I'm not sure I would have been able to describe all of the various feelings, and I think I sometimes have trouble distinguishing the feelings when they are really subtle. I can only imagine how difficult a discussion would be among different people who may feel the same effect differently or describe it differently. I wish there was a way to make the discussion of what we "feel" energetically more objective lol.
With regards to sending energy. I don't know about sending directed energy, but I know my feet centers, my palm centers, my third eye, and my crown can all send out energy as you describe - I can build and then will it to clear outward into space or an object. I don't know if that object is receiving it, except in the case of palm energy, which I've done in Reiki and non-Reiki palm sessions - most people say they can feel that energy (~7/10 I've done sessions on). I haven't tested this ability to send out energy, but I believe there are other energy centers capable of this phenomenon as well.
What exactly do you do when you manifest with your third eye energy? I am interested in testing that out.
