Well, when it comes to a lot of these principles it's not "one or the other" like either STO or STS say as much as the localized example will always be a ratio of the two opposite absolute values. Thus conscious/unconscious (the values ie.coefficients can change for this of course but unconscious remains the denominator in an proper fraction form for humans), sto/sts sts/sto, time/space space/time.
