My 555th email in my iPhone was an email today from my desired bschool telling me I made the waitlist. Instead of accepted. But better than rejection. Ah well. Time to process.

What is a bschool xise?

Business School. One path I'm interested in pursuing is getting a Masters in Business Administration in order to eventually start up my own non-profit organization dedicated to helping rehabilitate indigent defendants. It would have been somewhat of a career switch as I'm a lawyer (background of nearly five years as a public defender - but you have no life as a pd and I want to do something else though a part of me will always be a pd). But it doesn't look like that is going to happen for this fall.

Though the other path before me and is the one I'm seemingly going to do is starting up my own private law practice. I'm not really into legal work that much these days because my faith in the court system is shot, but being your own boss, working your own hours, and taking vacation whenever you want to is awesome (of course, all these benefits are after becoming established 3+ years out). Definitely a lifestyle where although I wouldn't necessarily 100% love my work, it would be work lifestyle that would be very compatible with having a decent amount of time outside of work. Time which I could use to pursue whatever I want to pursue. Awesome!
