Had a little duckling that came everywhere with me. But the people I encountered all wanted to harm the duckling which I didn't realize at first, that is, I thought it happened accidental. When I'd finally put ducky in a box and took it with me to see my ex, he said the box needed a bit of work. So I gave it to him, and when I went to check a little later he had forgot about the duck, the box was empty and the cats had killed the duck. Sheez, I cried so hard.
In the dream I was also reminded (actual memory) of a pigeon I raised for a few weeks, during summer vacay, when I was a teenager, feeding it every two hours, until I forgot to fully close the door one night and the cat had discovered little pigeon. Couldn't speak for a few days afterwards. But I thought that was peculiar because I rarely have any 'real time' memory during dreams.
