I didn't notice your edit (or it may not have been there). Disconcerting that this stuff would be on the "Science" channel. I think this is the importance of public television - consistently quality educational programming. All other education channels have devolved completely into profit chasing and marketing. Discovery Channel, History Channel, TLC...even Animal Planet is almost exclusively about sensationalized human drama now. A concerning contrast to when I was growing up, when all of those channels were populated with highly educational programs that I loved to watch.
