Imagine accepting every part of yourself. Imagine applying that to a societal scale and accepting society's most "immoral." That's what it takes to form a social memory complex that won't collapse on itself from people not wanting to be suppressed.

That is true for a planetary social memory complex however taken on a smaller scale social memory complexes can be formed between a few individuals. I actually think the planetary form stems out of "clusters" of individuals eventually all integrating but it seems most efficient to first accept within groups which then net together in to one single system of complexity.
