Greetings nio,
Thanks for the welcome! I certainly feel like I've landed in a country full of fellow travelers, in more ways than one.
Maybe it's time we cat-slept-upons should form a club. We could get T-shirts that say "I Traveled Thru Multiple Dimensions To Come To Earth So A Cat Could Use Me As A Bed" or something like that. It certainly puts things in perspective, from the cats' viewpoint anyway. I've never had Callie get between me and the headboard, though. Usually what I end up doing is lifting the covers (with her in them) from underneath so I can slip my body out from under and get out of bed. She never takes the hint and continues to lay there, looking at me performing gymnastics. And when I come back to bed, I have to reverse the process. Something is wrong with this picture...
I've had a few experiences which have had experiential validation in this dimension. One involves the cat that sleeps on me, Callie. We found her and her sister as strays at my father-in-law's retirement community. We were reluctant to take them in as we already had a dog and were afraid he would not accept them. We tried to place them with another family but no one would take the both sisters and my wife refused to split them up so I agreed to keep them.
After they settled in, Callie did not seem to like me much at first - she ran from me and didn't seem to want to come near me. A couple of months after coming to live with us, Callie got very sick (we think she swallowed a lost ibuprofen tablet or something else toxic to her.) We took her to the animal hospital and were not sure she would make it.
One night while she was there, I was meditating and thinking about her and apparently contacted her. She said to me, "I know you didn't want cats, but thanks for giving us a home." I replied, "You're welcome, I hope you get better." Shortly afterwards she did get well and has been following me around and sleeping on me ever since.
I also read Cannon's 3 waves, which I think was her latest, and found it so interesting I went on to read all 4 of her older "Convoluted Universe" books. I guess it was like that old potato chip commercial... The first book was so good, I couldn't read just one.
Love and Light to You
