Confused,
The bitterness you feel is an expression of your compassionate and caring nature. I know it's authentic because I've been exactly where you are, and for a very long time. At one point I began to build my relationship with God, and decided that I was going to trust Him - to accept on faith that He loved each and every one of His children, and to believe all the messages that have come down from so many sources across the ages, repeatedly, that "All is well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well”; and "“God loved us before he made us; and his love has never diminished and never shall.” I knew that my perspective of Creation from the point of view of a 3d entity was very limited and incomplete, so I chose to reserve judgment.
You are absolutely entitled to feel the way you do - it is a valued perspective; in fact, your beingness is precisely the answer to the question God asked when He chose to create you: "What would it be like to become an entity with these particular and unique attributes? What would I do, think and feel if I believed I was such an entity? What would I contribute to my creation if I believed that I was who he appears to be, rather than myself?" For this reason, the veil was introduced.
As you can see from the above quote from a higher-density being, as one's understanding of reality grows beyond the confines of 3rd density fog, it can even become a challenge to take the illusion seriously. Just as it requires constant mindfulness for us not get mired in the 3d illusion and always remember that things are not as they seem, in higher densities it seems that some mindful effort is necessary to continue taking the illusion seriously because of the direct awareness of the ultimate peace and bliss that all of existence dwells upon. You are not as you seem. The world is not as it seems. How would we see it if our eyes were truly open? We don't know in 3d, but we are given hints such as these.
The central distortion in your perspective is that of being a puppet for someone's amusement. Know that you were created by Love, in Love, and you are always loved absolutely and without qualification. This message for you came to me already last night as I was thinking about you. The entire project of Creation is one of love and joyful play of colors and shapes, and that is the truth. The suffering of others is catalyst for you - for all of us - and it is your choice whether to transform it within yourself into an impetus to love those who suffer, to grow in love and spiritual understanding yourself so you can help them and guide them, or to rage, resent and distance yourself from the rest of the Creation because it is so overwhelming. But you will still be the Creator and you will still be loved whatever you choose.
One more thing, and it's vital: it's impossible to love those who suffer and at the same time resent the Creator, because those who suffer ARE the Creator. The entire premise of that approach is founded on a giant misunderstanding of the nature of reality.

And, like actors, you must play that role as if it matters. You must involve yourself in the illusion if there is to be learning, otherwise you might as well not have chosen incarnation; and yet, there still must be awareness. Just as the actor must have awareness that he plays to an audience so as not to turn his back on that audience, not to muffle his speech, so you must maintain awareness of your true Self while performing the myriad functions of the human personality.
