    I have a different understanding.

I think that joy and peace are incentives for growth, and pain is also incentive for growth.

We are constantly, through the process of life, coming to new desires. Those desires *ARE* the growth we are reaching for. That is the natural mechanism -- the natural expansion as a result of experience, and when we resist that expansion we feel pain, because stagnation is not what we came here for.

This process is occurring for every point of consciousness, from one celled organisms all the way to complex, higher dimensional extraterrestrial beings. The simpler the organism, the more simple the desires. As we grow, our desires become more complex, but it matters not, as the universe is infinite and absolutely capable of providing the experiences we are reaching for.

When we want something, yet continually activate vibrations of lack, by attention to the "not having" it, pain is the inevitable result. It's just like touching a hot stove. When you perform an action, be it mental, physical, or spiritual that is entropic or contrary to where your inner being has expanded to, you will feel pain. Desire is life force flowing through you. When the current is blocked, the pain lets you know you are blocking the current. Your job is to then find the source of the energetic blockage. These blockages range from the gross to the very subtle. Know thyself is the mantra of the universal consciousness.

You'll find when you start thinking in terms of it being really possible, that simple turning of your conscious attention away from thoughts of impossibility to thoughts of possibility is enough to begin to feel emotional relief. In your journey from point A to point B state of beingness, you don't have to be at point B to begin to feel good. You just have to be headed in the right direction, and you will feel hope, passion, enthusiasm, and joy.

    Expansion feels good!

When the expansion is being resisted, it feels bad. It's a shift in perspective, the physical will sort itself out, and is secondary to the inner movement. It's an emotional journey that translates into a physical journey. Action will occur, but you needn't concern yourself how. The impulses will come when the inner alignment is achieved. This is not a density of knowing. Simply find your alignment, and the evidence will feel in around you, in seemingly impossible ways.

The source inside of you is infinitely powerful, and creates anything with absolutely zero effort. But it doesn't short circuit your free will. You have to do the inner alignment and the outer appearances will naturally realign.

So if you want to grow, follow your bliss! Growth doesn't have to be painful. That is my opinion, anyway, and it definitely feels more in line with the compassionate creator I have come into communion with.

So you disagree with the great Quo then? BigSmile They seem to be suggesting that growth and pain are synonymous where as growth and joy don't work well together. Pretty depressing view but it seems to be true when I look over my life. So you can grow in joy? I don't get the Creator. He seems like a jerk at times and we are simply his experiments.

I always feel sad when I laugh or see something beautiful because I know it will be short lived. Back into the furnace we go.
