Sure, although we can choose to wander down a chosen path as well. Perhaps all paths lead to the same ultimate thing, but I think there is something to be said about the experience of many different paths. Like playing a game through with all the different classes and character types.

There is a great saying I like that goes "wide is the path, narrow is the gate". I think there is wandering, but I have a hunch that there is actually some purpose to all this 'wandering'. It is like an itch I have never been able to scratch.
