I believe I am more mystical than my atheist friend. But I don't know how to face myself. I try, and am not really confronted by my shadow self.

I once made an attempt to literally sit down and ralk with my shadow self.  He refused.  I tried to conversate, didn't want to talk.

I gave in to my shadow self in the sense that i surrendered myself to him and him to myself followed in suit.

Now we're a bit on iffy terms butthere's some communication.  You may find your shadow self isn't truly dark, just stuffed into darkness and unhappy with you for doing that to him.

At least, that's how it was for me, we both have changed and need to work together again eventually.

I like how you talk about your shadow self as if it's a flesh and blood person. It sounds very guileless.

You are your shadow self. There is no differentiation, one aspect you shoved out of the open away as if ashamed or scared to let it be seen. One aspect remains present and in the open to be shown and revealed. One aspect is as is and as you believe yourself to be. One aspect is how you are mentally. One aspect emotionally. One aspect is Red Ray, another Blue Ray.

Guileless. Its closer to In-Plain Sight Unseen.
