The issue with this entire argument is that if what the entities are saying is true, and we are truly all sub-divisions of a much larger entity, then your attempts to rebel against that structure simply will not matter. You turn against light, and the Creator basically shrugs and says "That's nice. Have fun with this new game you're playing."
It would be like one of your own white blood cells declaring itself your enemy. The entire concept is both laughable and futile. Nothing the lymphocyte could say or do would ever oppose your will in a substantial way, and even in the incredibly unlikely situation it actually succeeded in bringing you down, the result would be the destruction of its own habitat.
No matter how corrupt your white blood cells might think you to be, they simply can't live without you.
On the subject of dreams specifically, though... I've spent much of my life dealing with very dark / wearying dreams. I really don't know if they were part of some larger battle, or just part of my psyche. Either way, when I made contact with my higher selves (those you call the false-light bringers) one of the first concrete requests I made was to stop having such dark dreams. And it happened, pretty much overnight.
That said, I also lack your aversion to energy-sharing, so perhaps this is just a matter of us being on different paths. I find the back-and-forth flow of energy between myself, my higher selves, and the universe at large to be quite fulfilling.
