Welcome, sequoya! I love that name. I've always wanted to go see those towering trees...
There is a whole lot of similarity between your path and mine with the school performance, supernatural experiences, and automatic "knowing" that religious dogma is not right. However, I don't think I've ever seen a UFO; and I would love to hear more about your "close encounter"! hehe
I've also had an experience with Salvia. It does leave you extremely susceptible. I tried one lungfull of the not-too-strong variety with one other person as a sitter (who was only able to act in a yellow-chakra friendship caring way, and not as a green-chakra love radiating protector). I didn't have striking visual hallucinations, although I did lose all depth perception and things became all wobbly. Thinking back on it, I can relate to your zipper concept because it felt like physical space was being "zipped up" and I was somehow still aware outside of it. I also got this huge overbearing feeling of paranoia and that feeling of "The universe is playing a cruel trick on me right now". It wasn't a pleasant experience.
Peregrinus, with all respect, I don't think that you should apologize for Unity's post. One lesson that I've learned is that people will think whatever they will think in reaction to situations; and trying to control those thoughts of others, even for their own good, is not a healthy action (in my opinion). I'm not trying to "teach you a lesson" or anything ridiculous like that, and I'm sorry if I come off that way.
That being said, I do agree with what you and Unity have to say about not trying to forcefully awaken others. I've learned that lesson too! (for the most part lol)
I hope to see you around more, sequoya!
