Steps of Light and Loved Ones/Guides

So I take it that actually walking the steps of Light is done with full support of guides and loved ones. It's not just done alone. That's what I thought when I read the Ra material (that you do it alone). I'd love to hold my guide by the hand and walk the steps of Light together.
