Well I'm interested in the slave's perspective (since we are in a "veganism" thread talking about animals). So it's really irrelevant who was who.
You aren't listening. I already said they didn't instantaneously move from "focusing on being slaves" to "focusing on being free".
All that "raising awareness" was just a dog and pony show to move from point A to point B. The real power came from where they focused and believed. But you can tell the story how you like if it makes you feel better.
