And if I am here as a volunteer, I think I was a teenage-style soul who with bravado and innocence raised her hand as though in a school classroom and said, I'll go. I'm pretty sure I did not know it would be so challenging here (though I don't mean to sound as though it's all bad; there is much beauty here). I don't think I've had many lives here, if any. I seem to be void in certain ways as if I had read about humans rather than lived as one—it's hard to describe.
