Such a funny article! I love it. Favorite quote :
We’re all going to die. And we all eat food. Therefore, food must be the culprit.
I've recently heard an argument to eating foods "closer to the sun" ie. consuming foods which either take their energy directly from the sun (plants) or at least near the sun (insects and the like, which apparently pack more protein per gram than animal meat). I'm not really one to count calories or keep strict track of what I'm eating, but I do enjoy this argument, it coincides with my knowledge on the food chain itself, namely that as you go higher and higher along the predatory chain, you are required to consume more and more food to obtain energy.... in my own experimentation I've noticed that I can consume three "low calorie" meals of veggies and the like per day and feel more energetically replenished than if I were eating meat, or more "processed" foods. From time to time though I find I go into my 'Pillsbury Doughboy State' where I feel like i need to eat 'shitty' foods, and reason that I need to physically pack on some pounds now as a result of needing spiritual energy later
However on the flip side, I've had conversations with energetic and shamanic healers who state that it really doesn't matter what sort of foods you eat, but rather, the intensity of which you put intention into what you're eating....one healer basically eats whatever she wants, and at age 60 doesn't look a day over 30... however in my mind this is representative of a highly disciplined being who understands the intricacies of magick...so in the meantime, I'm confined to trying to eat 'healthy' foods
yummy!!
