You'd think so, but in my experience, you can still reject signposts like that and wake up later. I had two blatant, 'hit-you-over-the-head' moments that I completely rejected and only recalled years after awakening. I think some people have the awakening preprogrammed to be a louder and louder alarm clock.
You're right, I'm sure. The pull towards the Law of One in my life would probably not cease if I decided to pass it on at any point. It seems like a strong preincarnative path choice. The "turn" away from doubt and towards the open mind would have happened at another point, but Styx did the honors of pushing me in that direction.
