How funny! You come into my thread and you're hit with the "change of plans" energy full force. How exciting how big this catalyst has been for you! I am sure your new job will be such a better fit, and there's definitely nothing better than a dog friendly building of any type.
It sounds like Baggio has been alerted of your intent (you must have hopped onto an early/latent possibility/probability vortex, now he has to find his puppy body!) I have no doubt you'll have a very advanced doggie entity coming your way, as it will be constantly working in a healing environment. I don't think this opportunity is wasted, seniority of vibration and whatnot. Your bond with him previously may have activated a situation where he is returning with 3D activation like Carla's cats did, in a way that he can experience early 3D in an environment where he can learn a bias towards service early.
