Courting the maiden

I'm going to argue that the whole point of the archetypical complex is to become "that which we are not" as 3rd density entities. Really, the Significator is "that which we are not", because we are veiled in a 3rd density experience. This is not our "true selves". We use the archetypes to lift the veil to become more of our "true selves", i.e. closer to the Creator by being of a higher vibration than our initial earth upbringing allows us. We're talking about The Fool's Journey. He's making the choice to walk into the crocodile waiting maw to have his heart's merits weighed. Why? Well, there are infinite reasons, but it's most often because it's about the journey and not the end gratification. That is what the maiden vs. prostitute means. You fall in love with the steps of the path and not the rewards of the path.
