Short answer: Absolutely.
Dreaming is our tether to the time/space environment. That's why we can have dreams that feel like an eternity but only last a few minutes worth of REM. What we remember is just how our 3D brain reinterprets the symbolism and experiences that it was involved in. Often when we don't remember dreams, it's because we're doing higher level work that we hide from our 3rd density waking selves with the veil.
