I can't get drunk or even drink anymore because I take 10 prescription meds.

My daughter went out with folks from her work last week and failed to connect because they were all drinking. She had bad feelings about the fact that she mentally judges these people about their life choices. I told her that drugs do not cause grief. They may only serve to amplify a bias that already exists, in the case of alcohol. If you feel, on balance, that your meds are still serving your needs, then that's ok. You do not have to explain that to anyone.
