I am sorry, i didnt mean to derail the thread!
I have to add, the Yogic sytem is aware of many more chakras than 7 or 8, it just concentrates on working with 7 chakras!
And to the "chromatic" stuff:
When you Play a single string, you will not only hear the fundamental note, but a lots of harmonizes higher notes.
When you put these together, you get exactly the (original) Major scale.
In former times, it was only possible to play in one key on an instrument, all other Keys would sound seriously detuned.
For that reason, our nowadays used well-tempered ( the Term is not really correct, but everyone knows it) was invented. All notes have been detuned to a certain degree, dividing the octave into 12 equally spaced semitones, that all sound wrong to a degree, but we have now gotten used to it.
So, the diatonic 7 note Major scale does make Sense to me, since it's derived from nature exactly.
12 semitones are only possible in an artificially detuned non-natural tuning.
Thats why i dont understand the connection...
