    yeah - it's the nature of catalyst.  It can be very intense.

    And accepting a down/depressive phase can be appropriate too.  It has it's own validity too.  

    I don't think anyone is suggesting that you stay in that phase, because there are no other options.

    Sometimes you need to come to a full stop, to actually see what is happening in one's psyche.

    A lot of distortion is masked by further activity - which is empty, and doesn't change the root pattern.  (speaking from personal experience).

    Before you can change (ie balancing/integrate/forgive) something, you have to know what it is.
