EvolvingPhoenix, I truly feel that your wounds should be treated with care, petience, and love. Nothing is done in a snap, certainly not healing.
I think you should spend more time around others if possible, and if there are perhaps some who care for you, open up to them, and don't hold all these feelings inside of you. Isolation does no one good, a closed heart prevents or disturbs the natural flow of energy.
I cannot learn for you, only to suggest to seek compassion for both you, and your friend.

However, both self and any involved other-self may, at any time through the process of understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness, ameliorate these patterns. This is true at any point in an incarnative pattern. Thus one who has set in motion an action may forgive itself and never again make that error. This also brakes or stops what you call karma.
