This fits in with the movement towards raw foods, yoga, and more sattvic lifestyle. Could it be that these might help facilitate survival?
Plants thrive on SunLight. By filling our bodies with plant life force, we tolerate the increased SunLight.
There is also the possiblity of the sun just being different. In that case nobody would be getting burned. Notice anyone getting sunburnt in the last 2 years?
