I had a pretty neat dream last night - that I'd thought I'd document.
I was at my parent's house (where I haven't lived since the early 2000's), and standing in the kitchen. There is a window that looks up towards the driveway - but it's normally quite obscured. Not only is there a big tree right in front (of that window - like literally directly there) - but there are normally curtains that are drawn over - as my parents prefer to have the more skewed sunlight of the windows that are perpendicular to this particular Window.
So I was standing there - and saw this woman approach. I recognised her -and had a bit of a panic! In that dream space - I remember that I had asked her out (on a date), and had TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT IT. And here she was, walking up to the house - and just there.
So she knocks, and I let her in, and we sit in the living room for a bit. We talk - and it's quite easy - and we find out we have a lot in common. Seems pretty compatible! And so we make some further plans, etc.
It sort of ends after that, and while a nice, pleasant dream, I wasn't really sure of it's significance.

On waking up, I think about it some more - and one thing strikes me quite strongly. The WINDOW. As I said - normally - this Window is obscured by a tree, plus curtains. Almost all of the time - there's no visibility in that direct direction.
I stay with the dream - and also reflect on other things that I've been working on in the past couple of days. My dreams usually have a good applicability to my conscious seeking.
And then I realise that the WINDOW is the perfect metaphor for the Veil in consciousness. Between the conscious and unconscious mind.
And when it's 'clear' - like a transparent glass window - you can see straight through it, unobstructed.

And the woman in the dream ... I still recognise her facial features. Like I actually DO know her.
Anyway - the expression of the WINDOW/Veil was pretty pertinent to what I was working on - and helped clarify things there (the Alchemist card).
