Higher dosages of Vit D3 has been recommended by complementary/alternative health practitioners and nowadays even by the "regular" practitioners.
I personally take 5000 units daily (very cheap) since the area I'm living now gets very little sun. Obviously, the real wonderful Sun would be better...
