The quote (I won't check the link, as I no longer use Facebook) reminds me of a simple metaphor for such "positive psychology". Alcohol. Restricting consciousness to only what feels positive is very much like what people often get drunk in order to accomplish. Sometimes, psychology is used to do the same thing. Some types of New Age teaching combine that with great visions of unity and playing a positive part in creation.
