I didnt say that which you diagree with, quite the opposite actually.
I quote myself:

„It implies that the event is not causing your emotional reaction but triggering emotions that have already been in you, just below the threshhold of your awareness„

I was aware of what you meant. We agree in principle and application but I wanted to make a broader point about language and how it can have subtle influences. These influences can be harmful or beneficial but more importantly we should be aware of them.
